Fairisle Beret In anticipation for spring, add colour and flair to your wardrobe by knitting a cheerful fairisle beret. You will be learning to read fairisle charts knitted in the round with a pair of circular needles. This two-handed fairisle technique, produces a very tidy project as you will weave in the floats as you knit so no loose strands to get caught in. You will choose 2 to 4 colours of yarn for this project. Yarn and needles not include in class fee.
Level: intermediate: know how to cast on, knit, purl, and cast off.

First Lace Shawl A pretty lace shawl is the perfect accessory when you want a little something without the bulk of a big scarf. Choose from a myriad of luxury fingering weight yarns for this project, and make it an extra special shawl to toss over every outfit this spring. By the end of this course, you will be able to decipher lace symbols and read lace charts. You will also know how to 'read' your knitting to avoid mistakes and block your lace shawl to bring out its intended beauty.

Beginners Crochet This introductory level to crochet course is designed for those who have never crocheted. You will learn crochet stitches such as, the chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, triple crochet, and slip stitch.

Beginners Knitting (101) This course is designed for those who are new to knitting (never held knitting needles) . The course will cover understanding the various yarns, gauges, needle sizes, and material needed to knit. You will learn to cast stitches, the knit stitch, the purl stitch and and begin reading patterns.

Refresher Knit (102) Refresher Knit is designed for those who knitted previously, but need some help getting started again and knitting a basic project.

Let's Make Something (103) This course is project based. You will work on a project of your choice, with staff assisting you through those troublesome manoeuvres. You will finish you project by the end of the course. Participants must be willing to dedicate time at home to work on the project.
